​​Alastra Construction is Proud to be instrumental in building the Veterans Memorial Garden of Westland.

 ​Plans were drawn by Alastra Construction to duplicate another memorial. Layout, Concrete and Brick Pavers were done by Alastra Construction

After six years of planning and fundraising. The Westland Veterans Association's dream of The Veterans Memorial Garden of Westland, became a reality. The center monument is the focal point having ten granite panels which are engraved, displaying the twelve wars our country has been involved in. Additionally, there is a "Walk of History" twelve coves with a monument explaining the history of each war on the center panel. Including a special cove honoring our

Prisoner of Wars and Missing in Action.​

 Veterans Memorial Garden of Westland

 Dedicated in a Ceremony on Veterans Day November 11, 2013

 

Alastra Construction Is proud to have been instrumental in the drawing of the plans for the Westland Veterans Memorial, it was fashioned to thelikeness of a memorial in an alternate location.  The site layout, placement of concrete and brick pavers throughtout the memorial were done by  Alastra Construction.  A large portion of the engraved brick pavers were delayed because of late shipment of the pavers.  Leaving  two weeks to install a huge quantity of pavers for the planned date of the Dedication Ceremony. Working feverishly the crew, thankfully completed the endevor by the projected date.
